Our son was in Terre Haute visiting a friend recently when he got a warning light on the dashboard of his 2013 Ford Escape. It was initially towed to Midas, but after they misled us and refused to service his vehicle, we contacted Finzel's Mastertech. They were responsive, thorough, honest and friendly. They did a full inspection and road test on the vehicle and could not find anything wrong. Midas claimed they were getting a code for a bad thermostat. They were going to charge us almost $1100 to fix it and they were not even sure that was the exact issue. So Finzel's saved us a bunch of money and gained our trust. Our son made it home safe and sound to Tennessee with no issues. The vehicle is running fine still. I would highly recommend Finzel's Mastertech.

Our goal was simply to give you clear and honest answers. We conducted a full inspection, thorough diagnostics, and a road test on the vehicle. We didn’t find evidence supporting the thermostat replacement that had been suggested, and we weren’t going to go through with a repair your son didn’t need. We’re very glad he made it back to Tennessee safely and that the Escape is still running strong. Earning your trust, especially in a situation like that, means everything to us. For the first time I was disappointed

Given your history with us, we always aim to provide the high level of service you’ve come to expect, and we take your feedback seriously. Regarding your Subaru Outback, our main goal was to ensure we caught every source of that coolant leak to prevent any future overheating issues. While we identified the upper radiator hose as a clear culprit, our technician also spotted signs of a second leak tucked away beneath the A/C compressor. Because that area is so compact, the only way to give you a definitive answer and a precise estimate was to remove the compressor for a better look. We completely respect your decision to decline the additional diagnostic time, but we wanted to be as thorough as possible so you wouldn't have to deal with another "surprise" leak down the road. We value your trust and would love the chance to get your Outback 100% sealed up whenever you are ready.
