They took a little over 2 months to do the headgaskets on my 1st Gen Tundra. There was alot of back and forth amongst themselves on what decisions they wanted to do. I suggested from the get go to Roarke to do the headgasket and was persuaded to go with a new engine so we opted for that then after a few weeks of no luck we decided to finally just fall back and do the headgasket as I originally suggested. After alot of external issues of trying to locate a reman vendor they finally decided to just take the heads off and get them remanded locally which if they did originally this whole process would’ve been easy and simple. Mind you this costed me $7k and over 2 months without my truck. No small discount as an apology or anything. When I turned the truck on it started shaking and a Check Engine Light came on 3 minutes down the road I pulled over to the local Oreily’s to get a engine code scan and sure enough a misfire from a cylinder I swapped in some new coil and it went away. It almost seemed to me as if they deleted the code at the shop to hand it over to me without a Check Engine Light I just didn’t want to return my truck and possibly end up having to leave it there another month. It’s since then has been making alot of lifter sounds which it wasn’t prior to getting it dropped off at their shop and not to mention alot of missing hardware all around the engine bay i.e. being plastic clips and a air intake clamp most notably. Definitely recommend not bringing anything here if you’re not a local.

Great place to get your car worked on

I always have trust in Mastertech for service on my Audi. This service I had the oil change and needed a PS and Brake fluid flush. Nothing major hit a little preventative maintenance goes a long way and Finzel’s is the best at that.

Thank you for working my car in today. I had a flat tire and needed the oil changed. They were able to find out the problem with the tire and do the oil change this morning. I really appreciated them working me into their schedule.

Great work, done on time

I just got my car back from Finzel's Mastertech and they exhibited some of the best service that I've ever received from an automotive repair shop! Three other mechanics near the Terre Haute area wouldn't touch my car after they ran the diagnosis codes; they told me to take it to a dealership. But Finzel's tackled the job and kept me informed of the progress every day they had it. They even gave me a loaner when I found out that I had to attend a funeral in Indianapolis. What surprised me the most, however, was that when I picked my car up I noticed that they had put gas in it and didn't even charge me for it! When my car broke down I was on my way to the gas station, so it was towed to Finzel's with an empty tank. Thank you so much for doing such an exceptional job and going above and beyond. It's hard to find service like that these days!
