I stopped by Finzel's to get an estimate on some break work and they offer a free inspection so I thought that was great. The inspection took about 2 hours which I had waited in their lobby for. Since they offer an inspection for free, I feel like this persuades you into getting the work done with them because your car is already there. They told me what work needed to be done (replacing all rotors and break pads) and said they could keep my car overnight and call me in the morning when it is ready to be picked up. I was able to pick it up early the next morning. When I started the car, the engine was sort of hesitant to fire, but it did. I didn't really think anything of it because I also had an oil change done. A few hours later, I went to run some errands and the car wouldn't start at all. I never had any problems like this before so I gave them a call. He said he could send a tow truck out and get it in the shop, but I would of course have to pay for the towing services. After another two hours sitting there, they finally told me what was wrong and that I needed to replace my battery, and since it is in located in a difficult area, it would cost a little more. I went through with it because I needed it done ASAP, and my car was already there. The break work was roughly $550 and new battery with labor was $300. I thought that was pricey especially for the battery. The customer service wasn't very great either. They had a lot of customers in and out very quickly.

i have always relied on master tech for my vehicles, the last time i went will be the last time i take anything to them. I told the rep over the phone exactly what the issues where the codes i was getting and wanted them to run a diagnostic and figure out if they could narrow this issue down and fix it,, after waiting two days they call and tell me my $40 dollar part will cost $700 dollars and the MAIN ISSUE they ignored by saying a spark plug was loose, the issue has been fixed thanks to a shop that wanted to listen to what i had to say that loose plug turned out to be a lower intake manifold gasket and a faulty ecm costing me $726 and some change,, and that's adding in what I spent replacing turn signal switch they were going to charge me $700 for. The rep when i gave a review to their website ( they emailed me asking my opinion of their work) was furious at my poor review, and arguing at what they were supposed to diagnose and that the cost included a warranty. a $40 dollar part shouldn't need a $660 warranty and the part took me 20 mins to install, and this isnt the first time they have done this to me, but it will be the last, oh and for the ecm and intake through them would have cost me over $1600, and to top it ALL off when i walked in to drop off my car thee were trying to sell a battery to a lady for $190 while she was saying her battery keeps dying and it the third one in a year obvious to most that ITS NOT THE BATTERY THAT IS CAUSING THIS so don't take your car to Finzels unless you want them to bandaid the issue for repeat business

My sister's car and my car both hit road debris just outside of Terre Haute last Thursday. Finzel's Mastertech saved our vacation. The tow truck driver took our cars to this shop because of their good reputation, and Finzel's proved themselves again with efficiency, great coordination, good will, excellent work and good pricing. Although it was an expense repair, they are always honest & informative about what needs done. Trust my car to them only.
