Near the tail end of my long-haul trip from Western Nebraska to Cincinnati, Ohio, my car decided to give me problems. Luckily for me, the problems happened right at the West Terre Haute exit. After having the issue diagnosed at an Auto parts store (two cylinders missing) I sought out a repair shop. Midas was unconcerned and said it might be hours before they would even look at it.This was at about 1pm. Another shop, RNR Tire Express was unable to carry out the repairs, but the young man gave me two suggestions, the first was Finzel's, which he HIGHLY recommended. When I pulled up to Finzel's my hopes appeared to be dashed: the lot was FULL. Nevertheless, I made my way to the lobby (past Clark, the friendly Golden retriever!) and made my case, explaining that I had a hungry and restless Great Dane in the car, and I had just driven almost 1000 miles... we were exhausted. The tech said they were two weeks out on appointments! Resigned to spending at least a night in Terre Haute, I began to ask for another shop as he said they would pull my car around anyway and see if they could figure out the issue for me. After diagnosing the engine it was determined that it was the ignition module and possibly the two cylinders. While my dog and I sat outside wondering how this day would end, they had already ordered the part. Long story short. these amazing guys had me and my fidgety dog out of there in LESS THAN THREE HOURS! I was soon back on the road and made it to my family by early evening! Despite the circumstances, they crew made us feel like valued customers. Special shout out to the guys who personally helped me: Byron, Bernie, Scott and Nick. You guys rock! I can only give 5 stars, what a shame... and I am glad Midas didn't care, because I found someone who did! If you need help in Terre Haute, this is the pace to go.
